We’ve been working to reach this point for months now, and hard at work on this new website for a number of weeks. We hope you like it, and wanted to share with everyone why it was so important to us.
We are not particularly tech savvy, so when we created our original website back in 2020, we signed up to Wix because it seemed to be the easiest platform to use, and it was within our very tight budget. Once the site was up and running, it was just easy to keep renewing the plan. Five years later, we have finally been able to make the break, though we deeply regret not paying more attention and not being able to act sooner. Wix is an Israeli company that actively supports the state of Israel, and ultimately the atrocities it continues to carry out - read more below. With our plan ending in October, continuing to use the platform was completely out of the question so took the action needed. Whilst it has been far from easy, because Wix websites can’t be migrated and it has meant rebuilding from scratch, we must acknowledge that this inconvenience is absolutely nothing compared to the immense suffering of the Palestinan people. We strive to comply with the boycott of Israel as part of the BDS Movement and encourage others to do the same - more info below.
