Addurn Nadolig Mari Lwyd Christmas Decoration

Here is our tribute to the quirky Welsh cultural icon that is Mari Lwyd. She appears in the winter and is linked to celebrations of Christmas, Solstice, New Year and Hen Galan. There are so many theories about her true origins but most people recognise her from the tradition which involved singing, rhyming, merriment and wassailing.

This hanging wooden decoration is adorned with ribbons, bells and a sprig of holly and features ‘shining’ eyes, as is traditional.

 Mari is approx. 125mm x 60mm
